For most of California spring has arrived. Granted this past week we have had more rain in a few days than all of last year, but the temps will return again to the upper 60’s and 70’s again.
Since we have had this nice weather, trees have blossomed and now the leaves and blossoms have fallen. Riley and I thought we would document the beautiful tree out in front of our house.
It’s been a few weeks, but I am so glad to be participating in this weeks Black & White Sunday hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever & Nola Dachshund

I am glad it has come, but I am soooo enjoying the rain we are getting in CA right now π

I’m jealous of your CA weather… Here in the Caribbean our seasons are hot, hotter, and hurricane π I’m an avid gardener, but coaxing anything green out of the rocky soil, especially with little rain and days that more often than not feel like someone left a gigantic oven open is… well, kind of difficult. Still. That and rescuing dogs keeps me off the streets π So glad to have found you (via Cascadian’s blog hop)–I’ll be back often, and I’m very much looking forward to your A2Z posts in April. If you’re going with some sort of theme for those posts, you may want to join A Hop Within A Hop: The A-Z Theme Reveal!
— great way to build expectations and, hopefully, connect with a larger audience.

I am so glad I found you too!! I love your sites. Most everything we have planted as far as veggies this year are all in pots since we have had a drought. I’m so excited about A to Z next month, so much so that I already scheduled all the posts, not all are written but I find titling all the posts to be very inspiring.

Our trees are sprouting out with pinks and yellows. I am ready for spring but not the Louisiana summer heat! Are those flowers from a Tulip Tree? Y’all try to stay dry!

Well we have received lots of rain and wind this week. Which is very sad since there are so many blossoms on the fruit trees and all the petals are falling off this tree π
Hawk aka BrownDog says
Hi Y’all,
Those look like tulip magnolia petals. They are blooming here also. Unfortunately we don’t have one in our yard. The azaleas have begun blooming also.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Tzu Mom says
Wow it is a Tulip Magnolia! I looked it up π There are several in our neighborhood of different levels of pink. It is so pretty and smells amazing, after this photo shoot I came in and could smell it all over me since I was laying on them in the grass. I just hate the fact that here it doesn’t stay bloomed for more than a few weeks.
