Monday Mischief: A Trip to SLC

This weekend Riley and I went on an an adventure… I don’t really think there was much mischief behind it… but she started being sneaky. We stayed at the Little America hotel in Salt Lake City which I absolutely love. They are not a pet friendly hotel, but since Riley is also my service dog we are good to go.  Now I am lucky I got to stay here as I always use Hotwire.com, but I make sure that I am getting a 3-star hotel or higher. In the past 6 years I have been doing this I have never been disappointed. Anyway, I had called them to let them know that I would be traveling with a service dog and needed one of the 2 story garden rooms. These rooms are nice and have a little kitchenette with a refrigerator. Since I feed The Honest Kitchen Preference base mix and use chicken, I need some place to store the chicken once I picked it up from Whole Foods.Unfortunately there was a bumble in our reservation.  Upon arrival the front desk let me know that whoever I had talked to did not place a hold on the room for me, but I was upgrade to a Tower room, on the 8th floor. Good god, going up and down the elevator all the time Riley is just going to love this!! After dropping off my bags I was off to find the closest Whole Foods to get Riley a rotisserie chicken and me some yummies. Once I got back to the room, as fate would have it, there was NO REFRIGERATOR!!! I must say they were great when I called to the front desk because within 10 minutes I had a little refrigerator in the room. Yipppeee!!!

Once settled I turned on the TV and invited Riley on the bed with me. She stayed there for a few moments then she noticed that there was another bed right next to use that was not occupied…by ME, just my stuff! So she decided that she would slink off my bed, walk around to the other side of that bed and hop up. So sneaky!
