So, we are in the process of moving. We are still living in the same town, but as my mom is starting to get up there in years I felt it was better that we all live together. Yup 3 adults, but here is the kicker a bunch of dogs, not in the double digits, but almost! 5 cats & as always a bunch of cats. It was a better idea to move in with her than vice versa as her house is about twice the size of ours. We now have a dog kennel, a ‘catio’ and there is a little side yard with a pond… yup the pond. So it is my little Riley that we are going to have to keep an eye out on. There is a pool in the backyard, so I don’t want the little dogs back there, but the side yard is perfect with a small pond. I plan on putting a patch of artificial K9 Grass to make it more appealing to the little dogs since they get very prissy in the winter time with wet grass under their paws. As I was getting this organized in the house my hubby runs in and asks me if I know where my dog is. Inside I thought, but she has access to the side yard through the bedroom… well he told me I better go see… well this is what I found.
It seems as he was working out in the ‘catio’ he heard a bunch of splashing, when he looked over the fence she was splashing around have a great ‘ol time. Good thing she is a service dog and goes every where with me, or I’d be coming home to a soppy mess on a daily basis!! Happy Monday Mischief all 🙂

Now I know why you have so many dogs….I knew I needed to catch up on my reading and would probably find the answer! That is so great that Riley loves the new digs! Our dogs would be right into that pond too if we had one!

It seems now that if we are out in the side yard she needs to be monitored all the time. We were all back there setting up the cat houses for the winter when we turn around and there she is again!! Knee high in water, lol

Could you fence off the pond or otherwise block their access? How are the dogs and cats getting along?
