I so love California, and so does Riley. There is nothing like being in the Sierra Nevada’s. I haven’t traveled extensively, but I’ve been to Banff in Canada, the Cascades in Washington and the Rockies of Colorado, and there still is nothing like the Sierras. Maybe because to me it’s home. Here Riley stops to take in the sights of Emigrant Gap on I-80. Just west of Donner Pass, Emigrant Gap was known for its steep cliffs in which early pioneers were known to have to put their wagons on cables and lower them down to continue their journeys west.

Pretty area. My mom loves Banff, but I have never been to Canada. Once Bailie starts tracking we may go up there for international tracking tests sometimes. I don’t mean Banff, though, just Canada as Banff is too far in the car.
