Not so Wordless Wednesday.
I know you’ve seen her before, but this is Chicky. Chicky is the current foster in my house, though I am not affiliated with a rescue group for her, she is a temporary member of our household. She came into the family with the idea she was only going to stay for a couple of days, but the lady that I was going to place her with told me ‘I’ll see how she does and if I like her I’ll keep her, if not I’ll place her for adoption with …(another rescue)’. NO!! That is not going to happen especially since she was surrendered to me to be placed in a loving home, not bounced from one house to another.
I believe she is a Peki-huahua. Like a lot of dogs placed in rescues she has some little quirks. Actually she has a lot of Chihuahua attitude, gets along with cats, gets along with other small dogs she likes, not Boston Terriers, is possessive about her toys and loves to give great kisses!! She is also blind in her left eye after being attacked from her former housemate. She will find a furever home someday, but for now she is a part of this family.

I hope so too, but she is happy and safe here too… I’m thinking of starting her in some agility, she has learned sit and down!!

What a cutie! I just don’t get stupid people. It seems like we are such a throw-away society anymore:-( Kudo’s to you for NOT placing her and waiting for the furever home.
Thank you… I read once that the average dog has 3 homes…I try to be the second for my fosters finding them that furever final home… for some though, the door at my house closed behind them when they walked in!! lol
She is just a beautiful girl! I can’t imagine anyone not falling in love with that little face!
she is cute… but a little devil in disguise… lol… no she is not bad, sooo smart though. Learns behaviors from the Shih Tzus and then bumps it up a notch!!
